In
today’s world, using a personal desktop computer is too much of a hassle when
the Internet is literally in the palm of your hands. Cellphones are no longer
just tools for communication; now they’re also a tool information gathering. All
we need to do now is to open our mobile phones and we can find out just about
anything we want to know. Maps, dictionaries, translation devices, gaming
consoles, and your 6:00 daily news are all available with just one swipe of
your finger. Yes, swipe, because the age of clicking has given way to the age
of touch screens.
It’s
little wonder then that current trends favour websites that are better suited
for smaller screens, like big fonts and touch-friendly styles of web designing.
Google is now taking the next big leap and so websites everywhere must adapt or
risk getting stuck in the stone age of big screen platforms.
